Record63, LLC is an Independent record label that focuses on investing in the music and talent of artists across genres. We believe in creating a collaborative and innovative environment where our artists can thrive and reach their maximum potential. Our movement began in fall 2016 when our founder & CEO, James “Jay” Addison, started the company in his one bedroom apartment. Since then we have garnered millions of streams independently, we have met with Atlantic Records (2018), Rocnation (2019) and recently signed our first partnership with Preach Records and Virgin Music Group, formerly INgrooves, (Universal Music Group). Our music videos have been aired on on outlets such as BET, MTV & VH1 Jams. Our artists have been featured on various blogs & publications across the world

The Record63 moment is just beginning as we create an organization that encourages creativity, community and an environment where artists can work on their music freely without the outside noise. We pride ourselves as being a youthful forward thinking company that embraces innovation, takes advantage of cutting-edge digital strategies, technological advances and our growing network of partners, affiliates, contractors and consultants. Collectively we understand the industry and our role as a media company that has vested interest in helping our artists advance their careers. We reinvest everything into developing new talent for the love of the music. It is our duty to maintain our uncompromising core values while providing quality resources and services so our artists can focus on the most important thing, the music.

Jay Addison is a visionary and trailblazer making his way in the music industry. His goal is to consistently deliver high-quality music that resonates with all generations as the CEO of his record label, Record63.

 Born and raised in Gary, Indiana, Jay surrounded by music from a young age. His mother was a talented singer, his father played in a band, and his grandfather was a skilled guitarist. His grandmother even was a songwriter for his uncle Cash McCall,  a well-known blues singer. Such a musical heritage explains why Jay Addison also loved music. As a kid Jay started playing instruments and writing music. Eventually, he found his way into rap and worked hard to perfect it. It wasn't until he discovered Master P that he realized how lucrative music could be. “P made me see music as a owner. I never look at it that way until him.” Jay said. From there on He dreamed of starting his own label and build it into a powerhouse in the music industry. In the fall 2016, he decided to do just that.

His journey to success has not been an easy one. After a business partner back out, Jay was forced to started Record63 on his own. And to this day, Jay runs and operate his label completely solo. “It just happened that way. It was either wait until someone sees the vison or adapt and figure it out. You can do anything if you wanted bad enough” Jay said. He has remained unwaveringly dedicated to his company and the artists he works with. He aims to create a legacy that will inspire future generations of artists and entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams.

Today, Jay is proud to own the next major black-owned record label, Which he feels continues the legacy of Nolimit, Ruff Ryders, BadBoy, Cash Money, Roc-A-Fella and Rap-A-Lot Records respectively. “I learned from those labels. Each one of them inspired me. I studied all of them”, Jay stated. He's committed to delivering high-quality music showcasing the industry's best up-and-coming artists.

As a CEO, Jay Addison is a visionary leader who inspires his artists to push boundaries and think outside the box. The goal is to build the next big record label in the music industry, and he's well on his way to achieving it. With his talent, passion, and dedication, he will continue making waves in the music industry for years to come.  He is passionate about music and is dedicated to helping artists achieve their full potential. He is poised to take the music industry to new heights with his ear for talent and creating hit records.
